Life is a designed challenge,

With moves that challenge me where I struggle to let go!

With every reality check, I entertain a suspect,

Never have I felt respect, for time I invest,

Hard times, cold people, no dreams,

Deep scars, strong passion, motivation by people betrayed,

This one wasn’t qualified to harness my pain,

There we became estranged,

Distant as divided by real pain,

My defensive“ness,” her offensive“ness,” kept us away,

I gained strength, she developed callous play by play,

Opportunity to sacrifice a pawn to gain loyalty,

A qualified piece I gained

There she had a chemistry for the game I played,

Never again did I open up quite the same

As the last game “I played”
