Welcome to the Poop* Show
Blogs. What’s the point? I figured I’d start one to share more about myself, my processes, and just whatever comes along. The author bio doesn’t tell you much. Do most people care? Probably not. This is for any of you who might. Yes, I’m an old curmudgeon, but like most humans (and maybe space aliens), there’s more.
House of Fate, now in a second edition, is my first novel. I expect I’ll talk about it often. I’ll share some insights on origins, the characters, themes, and other aspects. However, this blog will be more than just the book. That would get boring fast. I’ll talk about things that catch my interest: music, art, books, films, culture, theories. Just random stuff. Gotta keep you on your toes, right?
I don’t expect to keep a schedule here. I will at least try to share something once or twice a month. Of course, there might be times where I’ll have a blitz of two a day for a week. It’ll depend on how much Irish coffee I consume. It will be a lot like my creative endeavors. I don’t follow genres, or stick to some formula. It could be anything. Neither you nor I will know what path we end up taking. Sounds fun, right? I’m open to any questions and will answer them. You can ask anything, though I prefer no embarrassing questions. Ask them anyway if you wish. What might be embarrassing for you might not be for me. And I might lie. Fiction writers do that. Forewarned is forearmed!
I might as well mention it here. I’m not a very “politically correct” person. I say what I think and I guess sometimes it offends some people. That’s okay. You’re allowed to be offended, but if you are, do ask yourself why. Freedom of speech and expression is the most important American right we have. Let’s not be afraid to use it.
So, let’s begin our journey. I hope I can entertain you some, make you think and question the world, and perhaps show you something new every now and then.
Thanks for joining me.
*The editors thought my original word in the title was a little too crude. Maybe they’re right. You can deduce what it was. You’re intelligent.
