Pictorial Photography in America (1920)
We’re excited to announce a special release from our Classics imprint: the 1920 issue of Pictorial Photography in America. While our catalog has focused on literature, we thought it would be fun to explore early photography, a medium that tells its own stories and captures the world of its time in unique ways.
It will include commentaries on the photographs by Richard Leighland—no stodgy art teachers here, and definitely no art snobs reading deep meaning into a spoon on the floor. He’s no expert, but he does have opinions! He’ll share his honest observations and reactions to the images themselves.
Readers can look forward to seeing the artistry, composition, and charm of early 20th-century photography through a modern (well, more modern than 1920…) perspective.
